UK Tuna Fishing

Tuna fishing in the UK has seen some very significant growth in recent years with more anglers taking part in this exciting fishery every year. Not to be ignored either with the way that sea temperatures around the world are changing there has also been a significant increase in the other species that also are becoming more regular visitors to the waters around the UK - in the south west we have seen this happening with Bonito in particular. In August 2025 I was on a boat trip and witnessed a new British Record Bonito being caught.
